BEGINNERS & IMPROVERS PILATES

Pilates positively changes the body. With practice and commitment, Pilates works on the co-ordination of deep postural and stability muscles with breathing, arm and leg movements and it also improves flexibility. If you are new to Pilates, or have previously, but not regularly attended any other Pilates classes, our Beginners Pilates classes is the best choice for you (unless of course you are pre or postnatal). Our highly trained and experienced instructors will guide you at your own pace, and will determine when you are ready to move to the next stage.

If you know the basic principles of Pilates, you are not holding your breath whilst carrying out the exercises, can safely and effectively connect to your core, then you will be best suited to join our Improvers Pilates classes. As an improver you will also understand the key to listening to your own body, you will be able to observe and correct when another part of the body is 'overworking' the load such as gripping on hip flexors. If you are not sure which level is best suited for you, or are in between levels, please join our Beginners class. We will then be able to help you determine your level.
